Siobhan loved the way the world felt after a rain. The world felt vibrant and alive, flush with the possibility of a million different futures. Combined with the hundreds of scents criss-crossing the common, Siobhan could practically feel her destiny tugging her forward, away from the humdrum of her past and it's various tragedies.
Her damp white hide, flecked with crimson spots glistened in the sun as the clouds broke open. For a brief moment she simply soaked the warmth in, her blazed face held up to the sun, eyes closed. It was a balm to her heart, helping to heal the loss that still felt like glass in her heart.
Siobhan sighed, dragging the cool air deep into her lungs. It's a fresh start, she reminded herself, glancing around with honey colored eyes. Stop dwelling. It's going to be just fine. With a press of her charcoal colored lips, she walked forward, absentmindedly lipping at the lush summer grass as she passed. She didn't see anyone really off by themselves - most creatures were already paired together and she was loathe to interrupt anyone.
With a flick of her tail, she chose a warm spot out of the wind. The sun would help to dry her and keep her warm while she waited for the seductive lure of her solitary spot to draw others in. No one could resist a lone mare after all.
