War was happening on another island. Some of Ysabel's family was leading this war on the Forest, but she didn't care to attend. Tavas was conflicted by this mess (she could tell), but Ysabel just wanted to stay out of it. She didn't like the idea of war or its meaning. She was glad Bjorn decided to stay behind with them all and she would aid him in keeping the herd here and safe. She thought she was doing an okay job until she learned Elvira was missing. She couldn't find the mare anywhere, but what she did find was shocking.

She didn't expect to come upon the scene now in front of her. Tigerlily, a mare of the herd she has never spoken to, but she felt closer to her because of the Nyimara situation, and Elerona. It was right after the filly was born that Ysabel met her and talked to her mother about her hardships. She had thought maybe she had helped the mare work through some issues, but she was mistaken. Elvira was nowhere to be seen, but here was her young daughter being nursed by someone else. Not that Tigerlily was a stranger, but at the same time she was. "What is going on? Where is Elvira?" She approaches the pair with the question on her tongue.

She doesn't think about the fact that the once pregnant Tigerlily had no foal at her side as she was more worried about where her friend went. "How could she..." She mutters under her breath. She doesn't know if Elvira left for good or if she just went searching for her mother. Ysabel had promised to help, but she wouldn't allow her to. Her daughter didn't deserve the same treatment she had went through. No one deserved life without their parents, not decent ones anyway. Ysabel knew this first hand from never knowing her father and barely knowing her mother. She was mainly raised by Warsaw and he wasn't the best influence.
