News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

what's the fun in doing what you're told?

Something about the gathering had started to make her feel strange. For some reason, Faye couldn't quite place the feeling. It was as if she'd never felt it before, yet it vaguely reminded her of the sensation one had before a clap of thunder. It felt like energy was building up somewhere and getting closer. It wasn't the feeling itself that made her shift about on her paws but rather, it was her inability to pinpoint it. Eventually, she decided she was likely just anxious about the gathering going well, or that she'd forgotten to do something important. Whatever it was, it had been easier to ignore at the arrival of the first attendee, at least!

Faye's attention had turned to Apollyon long before he had spoken, or long before he had even really arrived. She had seen him approaching and couldn't help but be intrigued, curious to see who the first would be. When she saw him up close, she grinned and waved her tail, which only intensified when she spotted Cassiel not too far behind too, and another girl she didn't recognize.

"I sure am persistent! You can only be this persistent from a nice, high spot like this," she said with a jesting grin, taking a moment to steady herself before she leapt down with a soft thud. She straightened quickly, and two others appeared that Faye faintly recalled too. Nissa, Apollyon and Cassiel. Samael, too, she learned. So far, most of them were from Diveen, except from Apollyon, who apparently stunk. Faye couldn't help but have rolled her eyes at that comment. Of course he did - they all did! Everybody stunk, just like different things.

"Well, I'm Faye! And this is, uh, well...Spirane, but I can't really give you guys a tour or anything. But we can totally have a look around, she said, wiggling her brows invitingly as she motioned towards the mountain paths behind them. She'd picked a nice spot, and she'd wait a while longer, but where was the fun in just playing in one place? The presence of others got Faye excited, and when Faye was excited, she often couldn't help but find some trouble to get into. She looked over to Rhaenys though, a wolf of Spirane herself, and gave her a toothy grin. "Maybe our new mountain friend knows some cool places!" She didn't want to throw the spotlight on the girl too badly - just in case she didn't like it - but she was the only Spirane wolf so far. Besides, she'd come over pretty confidently. Faye had a feeling she could be a real bundle of fun if they got her going!

The feeling from before hadn't gone away, though. In fact, it suddenly strenghtened. It made her take pause, as if her entire body had been shocked into quietness for a moment. Her eyes had moved instinctively away from the group and towards another boy, though he hadn't made any moves to approach. In fact, Faye guessed that he was trying to just watch, maybe even hide from them, yet her eyes had found him in an instant. Like the thunder she had been expecting, seeing him seemed to culminate in a bang! of energy inside her. It made her heart jump, and she shivered in an effort to shake off the unfamiliar feeling. "Hey, you!" She called out to him, her voice a bewildered combination of uncertain and...vaguely annoyed, agitated by that uncertainty. "Does anybody know him?" She asked the others without looking at them, and instead, she stared long and hard at him, trying to decide what she had felt in that moment. The anticipation had vanished but it had been replaced with something stranger and more confusing, and Faye hadn't yet decided if she wanted to run away from him, fight him or just...be near him, which was the strangest thought by far. At least she could understand running away or giving him a piece of her mind!
