she finds herself deeper in conversation than she likely ever had before, with the exception of her sister of course… generally it was stoic and silent dahlia speaking with looks alone… it is freeing though, speaking so openly and feeling so readily accepted. by ramiel at least… she is quick then to try to quell his assumptions and apprehensions. no… i don’t think dangerous. i stayed for some time at the ridge. and intimated that i would make a home there. i’m not so sure now. i like adventure. seeing new places… she thinks dreamily for a second of all the places she had yet to see… all of the other wonderful friends she might make. there is so much more to the world than the ridge or the prairie and it felt too soon now to make such a decision. the golden mare notices when raziel snorts, catching his brothers eye with serious intent. when his pale eyes shift to meet her inquisitive brown ones she feels her breath catch. her ears flicker at his tone, which seems colder than necessary. it makes her wish she hadn’t asked their help when it is clearly such an imposition on him. she tries to hide her dismay at his not-so-subtle reply but she’s not sure how successfully. she lets out her breath in a soft huff uttering an oh so quietly he may not have even heard. tears her dark eyes away from his to look ahead, trying not to take the curt reply personally. she tries to appear cheerful, for ramiel’s sake, but she feels a certain glumness at the prospect of not seeing them again, even grumpy raziel, despite how he clearly felt about her. she turns halfheartedly to the darker of the pair, softly agreeing. maybe one day then. |
