Kestral may be ordinary in a physical sense, but his nature is far from mundane. The stallion has let every quirk that sets him apart run free. Perhaps this is what's most unique of all, is his complete lack of desire to fit in. Being left out or criticized for his chosen lifestyle has never bothered him one bit. What motivation does he have to care? He has all the lasting companionship he needs in Keen, and he's never had trouble catching the interest of any horse worth mingling with. Like this mare.
Perhaps if Rhadra's circumstances had been different, her priorities would be ordered much like Kestral's. How many horses have a best friend in a bird, but how many horses were presented with a fledgling fallen from the nest and given the opportunity? Kestral can see an inquisitive mind in this mare, and just as much reverence as he. No, Kestral isn't special, and if he is, then Rhadra is too.
"I wander where fate tells me I must, but if you return, look to the skies. Keen is never far from me." Kestral shakes strands of silver forelock from his eyes, and looks upon Rhadra with a true sincerity. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Rhadra. We will meet again." Kestral bows his head, a sign of respect and a sign of his promise. Facing her once more, he makes one final offer. "Please, feel free to join me for a meal, before you go." His lips curl into an expectant smile, then he dips his his head to graze without another word.
