Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Menkhet
i'm glad i learned that the universe
runs on death - it's more
beautiful to know.

For her mother to be a ruler she did not often associate with the other packs, well this wasn’t really a problem. It worked and wolves of Asteraia were free to do as they pleased and no one seemed to demand or question her mother or the pack. After her jaunt with Mochi, she grew more curious as to the goings-on though a part of her felt a nagging once she left Asteraia to explore. It was new and almost wanted to lure her pack, but even so, there was a curiosity that drove her towards the seaside pack. Something new was on the wind, the scent was slightly different than the one she was familiar with when skirting the area. Had someone toppled the once king? Maybe perhaps he died? Alas, she knew little of the sea and its legends but perhaps now would be a reasonable time to explore.

The sun had hardly risen and the fog clung low to the ground. Menkhet shook her pelt out and breath deeply inhaling the much salter air. Sure, Asteraia had a beautiful beach but the scent was ever so slightly different here. Her paws danced across the invisible borders making a meticulous effort not to disturb any sleeping wolves. The fem followed the scent markings inhaling the deeply. She was almost certain she smelt a familiar scent in Asteraia once before. Whilst the fog was dense she blended in almost seamlessly, almost. Still, her drive was to find the sent of the one who now claimed the land, and so her paws carry onwards.

Licking her lips a wicked delight though her sweet exterior was one that was an easy role to play. Once she seemed to find herself closer to the shore she inhaled deeply once more and that oh so familiar scent drew her head in the direction it came from. Perhaps he was asleep on the rock or simply staring deeply into a void that called to him. Menkhet did not know, but she moved quietly and softly the sand feeling as though it absorbed nearly all of the little sound she did make. Still, she wasn’t quite sure if this were truly the case or if she had mostly hoped it.

As soon as she got close to the figure's tail leisurely hanging off the rock she snapped her jaws around it enough to pinch and tugged roughly before letting go and dancing back a few feet. “The land smells of you and you gaze the horizon. Why is this so?” Menkhet knew the dangers of intruding on packs, she knew the risks but perhaps some questions of his own but that would only be fair she supposed. Hmm, but what will she name the one who she has hardly met? For now, this is her task at hand as she danced in and out of his reach snapping at whatever flesh was obtainable. She had begun to wonder how lovely could he dance.
