Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Dandelion couldn't help bit give him a smirk. Did he win back than? It didn't really matter. Winning wasn't everything, that much she was sure of. It was odd how different she and her half-sisters were. Perhaps it was a matter of how they had been raised, and by whom they had actually been predominantly raised by. That was neither here nor there though. Saros was her, and that was where her mind was.

She flashed a toothy grin at his attempted apologetic look. Right, like he really felt that way, she thought. Her bright periwinkle eyes were excited though. He had accepted another race. All the better. Shoot, if every time she saw Saros all the did was race, Dandelion would be hard pressed to say it was a bad friendship. It was something they both seemed to enjoy, and to enjoy it together. She danced on her small paws, for even now fully grown Dandy was a rather small thing.Mildly pudgy, but she sure could pack a wallop behind it all! Her brother Icarus had learned as much the hard way when they scuffled once.

"Sounds good!" she yipped happily. Dandelion looked towards the appointed spot with a smile, prepared for the call to go. Her tail swayed back and forth. At his announcement of her having dropped something, she was puzzled. She looked at him oddly, but it clicked what he had done. She gave a huff before bolting off after he said go. Thankfully, she wasn't too far behind, though it was easy to lose ground if she wasn't careful given that Saros's strides were much longer than her own. Still, she was quick on his heels as they barreled towards the river bed. He wanted to play that way, so could she. In fact, she was just close enough she could nip at his tail. With a bit of luck, she could get hold of a tuft of fur to pull out.

That would have to distract him enough for sure so that Dandelion could take the lead. After all, anything could be fair game if you opened that door. All the while, she laughed heartily and happily. A good race was indeed always fun.
