Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

As strange as Blackthorne might have seemed to Faye, she was at least a little glad that he didn't seem like a wolf of many words. He wasn't, as far as she could tell, a raving madman or anything of the sort. It meant she'd be able to continue on her journey sooner rather than later, now that she didn't have to worry about him asking a hundred questions or telling her things she hadn't asked about. Cersei had talked about those kinds of wolves to her before - they were strange, but mostly lonely and unable to express it properly. On any other day, Faye might have been fine with that kind of wolf, but she had somebody to find and something to do.

She grinned, mirroring his. She gave a quick nod as he began to move towards Diveen. "Oh, no need to thank me! I was -" She paused and frowned. What had he meant by her being in the right area? It had certainly struck her as a strange thing to say, and she felt the fur on the back of her neck prickle.

She hadn't been fast enough, though. Instinct was strong, but Faye was still young, untrained and unaccustomed to having to rely on instinct alone. She willed herself to move aside faster, but she felt his weight collide with her nonetheless. His weight hit her hip hard, her back end forced aside suddenly.

Faye felt it all and yet, she felt as if she could barely react. One moment, she had been about to leap aside but the next, she felt her backend give out. She could not help but let out a sudden, strained laugh of disbelief. In a moment, she'd been forced to practically sit down - just like a child! The dark humor of it hadn't been lost on her, though she still scrambled to find her balance. His assault had been unexpected and harder than she had expected though, and she could feel a bruise bloom over the point of her hip. It made her growl in frustration, but just a single look up at Blackthorne - the real him, at least - made her decide to keep her anger to herself.

"And if I don't go with you?" She tried to say it with a neutral tone, like a real question rather than the threat she wanted it to be. She didn't think she'd be able to run all that fast, but she could still bite, or call for help. "You hurt me. I won't deny it. Is that what you wanted? Do you want me to tell others about how scary you are?" She said it almost blankly, having turned to look at him with hard, intense eyes. There was, after all, Ruvindra and Caligula in her blood, two women who would not have tolerated such an attack. Faye might have been Faye, and not them, but their fire was still somewhere in her nonetheless.
