Perhaps one day she would find her way back home to see if there was more damage. The image of the herd watching on in horror as she was swept out to sea. She knew her parents would be devastated as she had been their only foal to survive the harsh winters. Her youngest sibling had made it one and half years before dying. Perhaps that is why she liked to play hard to get? She didn't want to get close to any of the boys as she did worry they would die. Her homeland had very harsh winters and some of them barely kept enough weight on. Her parents always sacrficed eatting to allow her to eat or when she was nursing her mother always got the best places to graze.
She is listening to their talking but her mind is back in her homeland as she watches herself running along the sheer clift side of the mountain. The boys jostling for the closest position. Her baby sister at a year lagging behind them. However, when he says they were both free to follow him to his home she finally returns to reality.
