PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

It's Your Illusion...

ADELHEID

Adelheid watched the filly respond to Maraigh with a hiss of her own and felt a moment of consideration. The timid creature had some bite, but then did not rise to her own challenge to go search in the mountains. Instead, she chose to return to her mother’s side. Adelheid contemplated for a moment what this could mean for the child’s growth. She watched with narrowed eyes as the filly left them, and raised a brow when she was finally out of sight. Her chilly eyes looked back at the mare in front of her, and she smirked.

The mare had a good point, and Adelheid could not help but agree to some level. It was on a mother to keep track of her children, though a moment of inattention could lead to many misadventures. Adelheid knew this all too well. Though, she could not hold a mare in high regard if her child had been missing for over a week and no one thought to tell another about it. An ear flicked back in a different kind of irritation at the thought. With no order in the Peak, there was no one to call on.

Good to meet you, Maraigh. I will take you up on that. She stood her ground without fear or challenge at Maraigh’s hisses and challenges. They had been having a pleasant conversation before they had been interrupted. One day she would surely accept Maraigh’s offer to pound each other into the ground, that day might even be tomorrow. It would be interesting to see if she could fight on the ice of the mountains. That’s fair. she replied plainly. Though to keep the herd strong, you may have to do both. Stallions and thieves often, mistakenly, believe we are easy targets. As I said, we defend the Peak inside and out. If hunting children isn’t your prerogative, train others who wish to do so. She looked back up at the mountains, wondering if she really wanted to put the effort into this. The trails were icy and she was feeling weighed down. Maybe she did not want to fight Maraigh tomorrow on the cliffs. Her tail whipped at herself. She studied the other mare as she posed her question. I was the lost filly once. I explored away from my mother with my friend and we were ambushed by stallions. Half the Peak came to rain hell on them within moments. My friend had still been injured and I was not permitted to take any captives. Her tail flashed again and foot stomped. There had been so many things that had gone wrong that night. Shaking her head, she gave credit where credit was due. My dam knew I was missing quick though. And the Vulcans who stay here know the mountains well.

...A fatal contradiction.
