PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

It's Your Illusion...

ADELHEID

It seemed as though nearly women were really ‘open’ to revealing themselves to each other. Their smirks and grins did a lot to put Adelheid at ease. It was as if the kin spoke to each other silently and on a level a little deeper than just words. A rough exterior sheltering something that hurt, something neither of them wanted to talk about but something Adelheid at least, would defend. A hopefully shared silent understanding sank into the mare’s consciousness and eased deeper into their companionship. EAch moment seemed to solidify the fact that Adelheid was right to have an instant respect for this woman.

Adelheid thought for a moment, closing her eyes and trying to remember her childhood with the colt. She remembered the night he had come into her life. Death had fallen on her from above only to have life come out of the forest at her mother’s side. Suddenly it all came crashing back to her and odd pieces fell into place. My mother came out of the Peak with him at her side. He was not my brother, but raised beside us. I… honestly spent my second year of life fighting with my family and left. He was never really a part of us either. Something more had happened that night and so much had changed. For a moment, Adelheid’s face darkened. Inka, for all her love towards her family, had often kept secrets from them.

Adelheid looked mildly surprised by what Wasp told her of the war. Never before had the Peak or the Lagoon involved themselves with the affairs of the Islands. Though, it had been a new concept that mares could lead as well. Her eyes shined and her grin was a brittle bitter sneer. A single hoof stomped hard into the stones at their feet, grating like her teeth. And her ability to lead? Her blood boiled in her veins and her head tossed in growing anger. She had to take a deep breath to bring herself back down and release her ears from her skull. Coming back to a calmer state, she snorted before remembering Wasp had lost her mother in this war. The reminder stirred her fire again and she had wished dearly she had come back to the islands just a little sooner. That was more than a stupid choice on their part. This will start a whole new change in the islands. And the Peak without a leader… There was concern in her voice as she eyed Wasp before her. At least the Peak did not have an ‘official’ leader at the moment, though Adelheid did not believe that for a moment.

...A fatal contradiction.
