PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Ain't life just awful strange

a new world hangs outside the window
beautiful and strange
it must be I've fallen awake
I must be

The dark bay mare hangs in the distance, watching as more of the Lagoon's lazy stallions congregate in their homeland. It would certainly take some getting used to. But Božena had done a respectable job herding them here, and keeping them well within the mountain terrain's boundaries. Suddenly, the Peak felt full.

Wasp had yet to really engage too many of the bachelors beyond Rougaru's son. Their ranks ranged in age - some were quite old, others were young and cocky. The elder ones, Wasp assumed, would certainly have more to share, or at least more the Vulcans could learn from. They'd seen the Lagoon pass through many bosses over the years. Perhaps they too remember a time when the rivalry between them was more amicable than it was now.

The heavy-set mare was grazing on the bleak, hardy offerings among the boulders when she caught sight of a gaggle beginning to form. It wasn't until Božena joined them that Wasp's amber eyes flitted over the group with renewed interest. Her nostrils flared as her jaws chewed away at the brush in her mouth, and she stared at them for a good while from her vantage point. There was a cream-colored stallion - one that even at this distance, reminded her of Cullen - who seemed to be leading the group's conversation. Wasp felt uncertainty churn through her gut, and as her heart beat began to quicken, she finally gave in and strode their way.

Two dark ears flicked forward and back as she caught the end of Rade's offer, but she remained silent. Her gaze fell to Adelheid and then to Božena, her newly minted council, before she settled in to stand next to Božena. She listened as the warrior mare spoke - her ideas and reasoning sound, but still, Wasp remained for the most part, emotionless. Her facade was neutral, if not a hair curious, as each side voiced ideas on how to forge a new future.

She had no idea who Rade was, or his legacy, but his connection to Cullen was clear. Wasp also had no intention of making deals with strangers, especially strangers from the Lagoon.

"And why can we trust you?" She finally spat, her tail flicking angrily over her haunches as she reshuffled her weight onto all fours. "How do we know you will do as you say?"
