The voice that fills the air in a shrill whinny causes her to freeze. She skids to a stop, sand spraying forward around her hooves, but she doesn't dare look back. Instead, her green gaze locks onto the ocean ahead and she thinks she can make it. If she really wanted to get away from him she could reach the sea before he had the chance to get to her. She was already so close, but all this stalling would cause him to catch up. His hooves thunder behind her so she tries to run for it. She makes it to the sea but was only belly deep when she heard his splashes. For some reason, she was stopped again.

It really is you, his whisper reaches her on a soft breeze as her stomach tosses and turns with nerves. She had faith in the stallion he has become, the stallion that wouldn't hurt her. Cain would let her go if that is what she wanted, but a part of her still worries. Worries that he would grab at her mane and drag her back to the Desert. She fears being forced to carry another foal for anyone despite how much she loves Paisley. Her ears swivel towards him as her head lowers from its raised position. He was worried about her? Of course, he was. Primrose knew the lengths Cain had gone to try to get her back, to free her.

"I am...well," she says softly with eyes still trained on the waves ahead. She was hoping to avoid this whole awkward conversation. She hoped he would know she wasn't coming back with Akello's message, but here he was anyway. "They didn't touch me." Maybe some explanation was in order as to how she knew Ruger and how she came to be brought to the Thicket. "I can't say I like the mare Vasilisa, but she stole me to try to cheer up her lead stallion Ruger. Ruger is a family friend, a good friend to my father, so he would never dare harm me." She sighs. "But Vasilisa was mistaken if she thought I could help him as we barely know each other."

She recalls the thinking of the odd Thicket Queen. How she came to know Primrose knew Ruger was still a big mystery. Maybe she was a mind reader. "Anyway, Ruger escorted me back to the Prairie and gave me my freedom." She waited for Cain to ask if she was coming back. She anticipated him to ask why she was leaving in such a hurry. Her stomach gurgles.
