South Korea's Handling of the Coronavirus

I just watched an MSNBC News segment blasting Trump over his handling of the Coronavirus situation.
The segment pointed out that in both South Korea and the U.S., the first Coronavirus case occurred on the same day.
It went on say that since that date, South Korea has experienced a total of 260 deaths due to Coronavirus, whereas the U.S. has experienced a total of 87,218 deaths.
Knowing that MSNBC is hard-over against Trump, I decided to check out the situation a bit further.
It turns out that the death numbers are correct.
The below-linked article discusses how South Korea has managed to handle the virus situation so successfully.
The below video discusses, in somewhat more detail, how South Koreas has managed so successfully to combat the virus outbreak. (https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2020/apr/23/why-south-koreas-coronavirus-death-toll-is-comparatively-low-video-explainer)

It looks to me like MSNBC is correct in arguing that the Trump administration could have and should have done more, early on, to combat the virus.
(The below article points out that Trump was warned numerous times about the dangers of a pandemic before he started taking some aggressive anti-virus measures: https://www.axios.com/trump-coronavirus-warnings-46ea8006-2e19-4810-82c1-0f10f4f9aa97.html).
