Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Matianak replayed the incident with her father in her mind more often than she cared to. So the old man wasn't ready to die, not yet at least. She imagined Underidge would end shortly after Eden. The latter of the two was not so likely to go down without some semblance of grace. An appropriate death, whether at someone's fangs or in is sleep, that is what awaited Eden. She knew this. It was those things, the decisions those wolves had made that brought her here. Here and now she mused with a small smile. How fitting that the wolf who had taken the mantle for Glorall was so called.

Her humor might not quite match his, but she couldn't deny she enjoyed the response. Perhaps in a more friendly situation she could easily return it. The change in his expression was noted. Did he dislike the comparison to Eden? Or did he dislike the fact he might be more like the former Fortitude than he preferred? Either was possible, a small tidbit she tucked away for future reference for whatever Elohim held against his father. If she had expected Elohim to be less than Eden, she would have readily departed Glorall. Yet the salt was strong, and her choice was preferred to remain along the sea. She let the air hang empty of words for a moment. The pale woman had not missed the brief look to the scarring on her face, mild as it was compared to others.

She raised a brow ever so slightly at his eye roll. Whatever went on his head, he certainly seemed to be the sort to hold an internal monologue now that she was able to speak with him personally, not cross paths at a gathering or other such group things. Still, a smile tugged at her lips as she fell into step alongside Elohim to wherever he was headed. "How I proceed purely depends on if you agree with what I bring forward," she replied.

Her pale eyes watched him, his body language, and his lack of attention. No, it wasn't a lack of attention, she told herself. Rather, this one had other things on his mind and she had intruded on whatever he was heading towards. "You are in need of a new Thorn. Or whatever you would so choose to call it," she said. Matianak's words were a statement of fact. "To keep Underidge there would lead to unnecessary tension from a wolf who refuses to follow you, who believes you to have done something underhanded to attain your position," she continued.

He was a smart wolf, of that she had no doubt. While her own sire had not uttered such words, his actions and extreme loyalty to Eden, and belief that the Fortitude should have killed Elohim as a newborn, was enough to give credence to her words in her own head. The question now, was how would he take such a statement? She left it there for now, to give him time with his thoughts and consider her words if he so chose. Matianak expected a question or two. She expected no less. After all, she could not approach the Here and Now with such words and not expect him to question her motivations towards stating what she did.
