PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Ain't life just awful strange

a new world hangs outside the window
beautiful and strange
it must be I've fallen awake
I must be

Wasp stood stoically among the grasses, the blades bending in the passing spring breeze and tickling at her knees. She settled her weight over all fours as she watched the gaggle assess her, too. But her interest remained on the mare who stepped forward, clearly as their leader. Two dark ears flicked forward as she introduced herself. Oswin. She knew the name well, of course. Her own dam had served as Oswin's Codebreaker. Suddenly, Wasp felt her throat tighten up, and she snorted as she tried to relax. "Welcome back." She managed to muster.

She breathed a deep sigh then, her wavy dark tail batting anxiously over her round hind end. "We've never met, but my dam knew you well. Macabre." Wasp said, a shiver running down the length of her spine as her mother's name left her lips. It still felt so awful to say out loud. Wasp's amber eyes bounced from Oswin to her the rest of her family as she introduced them, and explained why she was here. The heavy set mare merely bobbed her head strictly in response, though a flutter of hope struck her in her chest. The Peak could use an experienced warrior among their ranks, especially one with leadership experience. This would only help strengthen them as the turmoil with the Lagoon continued.

"The Peak, of course, welcomes you and your family." She said with another bob of her heavy head. "But I'm afraid much has changed since you were last here." It was ominous, Wasp knew, but it was true. The Vulcan herd had been through hell and back in this recent war.

Only then did the mare's amber stare fall onto the other in the distance. Wasp recognized her as one of their own, but she didn't know her name. The dark mare nickered to her, welcoming her into the fold should she want to join them. There was nothing to hide in this conversation.
