The islands had been mostly peaceful since the war and Cain was grateful for it. He had time to process his losses and grieve and now he could work on healing. His talk with Hawke in the Meadow did a lot to set him on the right path and seeing Vihaan again was a balm to soothe his chaotic soul. He wasn't sure if she would stay or not yet but his heart had hope again for the first time since losing Zubeia, Zena, and Geneva and that had to mean something. He liked seeing all the new brimming life in the Desert again. Even with three mares just being guests in the Desert, it made his heart lighter to watch them running across the dunes and drinking from the oases, getting comfortable in this rich, warm environment. He coul always hope they'd choose to stay but that was their choice to make and no matter what, he could always hope to at least get a friend out of it. He was grazing by one of the many oases when he heard the friendly call and his head lifted, ears snapping to attention as he looked around. Surprise flickered in his eyes followed by a pleasant gleam when he saw the dark body of Cerosi coming toward him. He nickered back in response and swished his tail, dipping his large head in greeting as she got closer. His lips curled into a friendly smile. "Hello, Cerosi. How are you finding the Desert?"
