PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Beg for Mercy

Beg for Mercy

The faint smell of milk reached his nostrils just before he heard the fast hoofbeats coming up behind him. Emotion ran unchecked through his mind. The comfort of a mother, the safety of a herd, the joy in no longer being alone... Then, the voice. Jay pivoted around, scared at the sudden noise. The moon had been full at least twice since he had last heard another horse speak to him.
The mare in front of him had somehow managed to sneak up on him. Well, given his current experience with paying attention to his surroundings, it wasn't really that surprising.
He took a step back, pinning his ears and lowering his head in submission. Something in the mare's voice made him feel uneasy, as if he wasn't welcome in the area.
He shook his head side to side at her question, indicating that he didn't really know where he was. He would have tried to answer in words, but surprise and fear mixed together had frozen his tongue.

A memory tickled the back of his mind. A mare in his group had mentioned something about the mountain once, but given the current situation and the foggyness of his memory, he was having a hard time remembering what it was.
The colt slowly unpinned his ears and started to raise his head, the fear quickly morphing into curiosity and youthfull innocence.

"Who are you?" He inhaled softly, noting the scent of other mares on her flanks, and the wild, free smell of the mountain flowers. No matter how cold she seemed, seeing the mare somehow put him at ease.
He started to take a step forward, then paused, wary of the mare's reaction to his mere presence. Instead, he placed his hoof delicately back on the ground and decided to introduce himself instead.
"My name is Jay Azuli, but most just call me Jay. Well, they used to when I had someone to talk to."
He figured playing the pity card couldn't hurt, he was practically a foal himself. He wasn't sure why the mare seemed so hostile towards him, but he had always been on the more charming end of the foals in his herd.
