The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
// ash and cinder, tongues of flame;

The acquisition she had drawn up from the Commons to bring to the Desert was every bit a part of her dedication to her stallion as it was a bid to provide a young woman the opportunity to be as happy as herself. She speaks at length for Nadine about the life of the Desert, knowing well enough that it was uncommon for draft breeds to be capable of surviving in it and yet also having done it herself. The adaptation did not take overlong and she was especially a leg up with the slot canyons in mind.

She feels it, even now, that the potency of Cain had taken root and was even now draining the heat from her scent. Soon there would not be reason to lift his lip, his job complete and his enjoyment well had. Perhaps then he’d find a fancy in this young women, and she in him. There were few better than Cain, in her opinion. Freeing and emboldening all in one masculine package.

The young mare played offended, but Berit only laughed, amused by the tease as she caught sight of Cain. He bows his head to the new mare and greets her with his name. His humor at her invited guest is met with a warmth that maybe would have once been reserved and quiet. This time she approaches him without hesitation, exchanging a breath with him and then moving so that they were parallel and she could hum her pleasure into the raking of her teeth as she groomed across his back.

She perks at the stomp of his foot and snorts as she hears the galloping of four additional feet and the additional sound of her son’s voice squealing as Carbon made a nip towards him. "Missed!" He shouts at his brother, though the two are notably different in lineage. She rounds Cain, sliding her side against his, approaching as her more lively and boisterous boy got very interested in crawling up her companions nostrils. Carbon well knew better and while he was thinking to escape the newcomers chastising, she takes a nip of her teeth to the end of his flicking tail to tug him back in the sand. "Manners, Carbon. This is Nadine and you will be polite and offer your breath first, you hear me."

Already Vulcan sputters a small laugh, approaching with the submissive clack of his mouth to Berit and then extending his nose to Nadine with a smug gleam in his eye, teasing his brother in his getting into trouble again. "I am Vulcan. That is Carbon. My ma’ said that we might have brothers and sisters if we’re good and don’t pester them too much. Are you our sister? Are you going to bring our brothers and sisters?" Berit clears her throat, a small smirk of parental patience thrown at Cain and releases her other son’s tail. "She is coming to see if she wants to stay. You know better, Vulcan. I said that you should not ask about brothers and sisters… there might not be any if you pester too much, hm?"
