His skin presses tightly against hers. "I could never leave you here." His words fill her with hope. There is a breath between them and then he soon pulls back a few steps to look deep into her eyes. Here comes the but. She drops her gaze momentarily. Fear grips at her heart. The fear that he will turn her away - to reject her - she is after all Rougaru's. Rougaru was the jealous type and even if he heard whispers of their midnight meeting; there would be dire consequences for Jabari. A fate far worse then being his captive. His words draw her crystal blue gaze back to his somber eyes and his next words cause her eyes to widen. Prisoner? He came back to take her? Her mouth falls agape at his news. "You came back for me?" She swallows the lump that grows in her throat. She can feel the tears well up and threaten to spill on to her cheeks. "You risked everything... your freedom, your family," she whispers as she presses herself into him once again. She can feel herself losing control as a single tear slides down her cheek onto his broad back. He had risked it all... for her. "Thank you," her words barely audible above the sound of the waves. This time, she steps back so that she can gaze into his eyes.
