The World Awaits
So don’t make any plans
- Akadi -

There was growing tension in her newfound family. The feeling was so very strange and bewildering to the young filly, who had just now come to accept that she had a home. It seemed like the moment she had come into the family there was conflict. Quietly, she had stayed close to each member individually, and often stood alone when they were all together. She did not know who to attach to at any given time but tried to move between them all to form some sort of loving bond. Anything to feel as though she belonged and could find steadfast footing in the uncertainty.

Roisin nudged her to come along for an adventure after she had spoken to Ailill. The little bay glanced at the adults, her face a little hopeful. She enjoyed Roisin’s company, but the filly had been bouncing off on her own on and off a lot lately and Akadi had been hanging back, either because she had not been invited or she felt a guilt at leaving the adults. She looked over at the golden stallion, ask if asking him for permission as well. His pale eyes looked sadly over his family before nodding at her to have fun.

Trotting to keep up the best she could, Akadi was determined to be closer to Roisin. With one sister aloof to the point of being a stranger, the newcomer was determined to fit in the best she could. Silently, she followed, enjoying the butterflies of excitement in her chest. Her sister watched the colorful birds and set to collecting feathers and sorting them into like piles. Akadi watched, uncertain of what the purpose was behind doing this. Abashed, she did not want to seem silly, or unknowing. So after a moment she got an idea. While Roisin collected feathers, Akadi began picking flowers from vines and placing them in color piles along with the feathers. She was about to take a bite to tear off a large red flower when a voice broke their work. She spun to voice the voice and froze for a moment. New people spooked her, but also excited her. There was always the chance they were what she had lost in her life, but they never were. She looked over the pale stallion with her dark eyes, curious by his words. So is Ailill! the filly said happily, as if this was what would show everyone here was safe to be around, something to tie them together. She stepped closer, curious about the stallion, moreso when his skin turned pink. How close do you have to get to the rainbow to see it? She looked up at the sky as if a rainbow would show up at their wish so they could see this for themselves.
