We found each other in the dark

Through the black starless water,
And the cold lonely air. On the rock restless seas.

Solomon was quick to quip back, and Tavas bat her long, wavy blonde tail over her haunches eagerly as she listened. Her golden ears tipped forward as he tried to pepper her with compliments. She bobbed her dished head once, considering his words. "I'm sure you say that to all the girls." She said playfully, but she was also fairly certain that the sentiment was true. Tavas conveniently let his other comments pass by without any immediate rebuttal. The time she spent with the painted stallion in the Cove had been fun. She enjoyed herself, and she certainly liked the attention he offered her. But there was something about Solomon's charisma that just felt like... more of the same.

"I never said I wouldn't join you in the Cove." She finally spoke, her gold-flecked eyes trained hard on the handsome, splashed stallion now. "I'm just... ensuring I'm making the best investment." She said, a wry grin appearing across her soft lips.

Her heart beat voraciously in her chest as she tried to plan for something to say next, something that could buy her some time. Luckily, Kendry chimed in next. She listened to his comments about the islands with great interest. Tavas had technically visited them all, but maybe one territory of each. She so wished she could remember her time in the Prairie more clearly. The palomino mare flashed the heavy-set stallion an amused smile at his clever comment.

Kendry certainly offered the distraction Tavas so hoped for. Her gaze moved to Solomon as the cream-colored stallion offered up an interesting proposal. Tavas' gut churned tight as she thought about Requiem - he was at least one other stallion living with his small family in the Cove. She had no idea if Solomon would be willing to accommodate another. Her nostrils flared and she re-settled her weight over all fours as she waited to hear what Solomon thought of this idea. "If nothing else...." She added. "I'd be happy to be your tour guide of Tinuvel, Kendry."
