PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Ain't life just awful strange

a new world hangs outside the window
beautiful and strange
it must be I've fallen awake
I must be

The dark mare watches as Nekharat seems to deflate, as if Wasp's explanation took the wind out of her sails. Confused, the Prime Minister of the Peak begins to soften. Her stance becomes less stiff and her overall demeanor just slightly less defensive. She bats her tail eagerly over her haunches as Nekharat speaks, her words lacking the intensity and eagerness she came in with.

Wasp stands blankly in the red mare's presence then, befuddled by her abrupt turn to leave. Her heart begins to pound against her chest as she watches the lean mare pivot. She catches her breath in her throat and snorts quickly in an effort to expel it. "That's it?" She calls back, one dark ear flicking forward and back before settling at the side of her head. "That doesn't seem right." She spits back out at her, taking a step and then another, toward the departing mare.

Wasp snorts again as her amber eyes settle on her, waiting to gauge if her quip would garner any reaction. "I'm not going to apologize if my explanation isn't what you wanted to hear." She says, eyeing her. "But what's wrong? I'm trying to be helpful here, and clearly I'm no good at it."

She knows her personality can be, well, offputting to some. Or at least that's how Macabre used to try to describe it. "Lighten up a little." She can hear her dam's voice in her head now. "A little kindness goes a long way." She breathes a heavy sigh then, and lets the muscles in her neck and shoulders relax, dropping her into a more slumped position. "I can tell you... you really want to do something here. You really want to be a part of something. And we need that kind of energy. I don't want to discourage you." She offers in her own attempt to backtrack.

"I can smell Tinuvel all over you. Is it wrong to assume that someone there got in your head?"
