Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was hard seeing all the damage that covered their home from the flooding. He and Thor had managed to find shelter on the outskirts but it wasn't without its own set of dangers. Sometimes, he heard Thor wondering aloud if others of the pack had become isolated on the island and he wanted to swim out there to check but so far, Triton had been able to talk him out of it. Sure, Thor had grown up in the beach pack but Triton didn't know how good a swimmer his father was and he hated the idea of losing him too after losing so much already. Instead he tried to find distractions for his father around the den they made for themselves, little home improvements and such so he could go out and explore the depth of the damage. Most of it had become unrecognizable and Triton sighed as he took it all in. Maybe some day the rest of the pack would return. Maybe some of them were in the open lands. He would be sure to go check.

When he saw the movement in the distance, at first he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. Blinking a few times, he pricked his ears and listened for a moment. It was definitely a wolf. Giving a bark, he made his way to them, picking his way among all the debris very carefully cause he knew it wasn't exactly safe in Glorall right now. He was careful about placing his paws, feeling the sand shift under his paws with every step. As he got closer, he could make out the dark figure of none other than Elohim. "Hey!" He called out as he got closer, stopping a few feet away from the other male in case he wanted to be alone. Triton was sure to dip his head in respect, knowing the male's title as he cleared his throat. "Um, do you need help with anything? You look like you're on a mission."
