  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
There are many stars in the sky

Cain has been watching her, but she had not noticed. She did not understand the way he watched her with worry like a father might watch his child. Cain was an older stallion, but not a whole lot younger so why? Maybe it was because she was so young to be as brash as she was, but this was Galexia. She had dreams and she’d be damned if anyone got in her way. So far no one has, not even Cain. She constantly wonders why he puts up with her. He felt so much like a father figure, but he looked nothing like her sire. His figure was closer to her grandfather’s, but Cain was still bulkier. He was not a father to her and he never would be even though some things he did felt father-like.

Galexia was completely passed out as Cain comes to stand at her side. He asked her is she was alright, but the young golden mare never even stirs. She does not hear anything he is saying due to the deep sleep she was in. As Cain looks at the foal, the child looks back at him with puzzled hazel eyes. The filly’s eyes were a beautiful hazel with flecks of green making her stand up from her mother’s plain light brown ones. Her coat was a darker gold compared to her dam’s and her hair was as dark as night. She had a white blaze that matched her mother’s and various small white spots all over her back and sides the shimmered like small stars on her coat. Her body was thick for a newborn, maybe the reason her mother had such trouble.

Cain begins to nudge Galexia as he pleads with her to wake up. It took a while longer of convincing, but the mare finally stirs. By now, the newborn filly was trying to stand on her own. Brown eyes blink open as her head lifts to see who it was disturbing her. ”Cain?” She whispers as the word around her begins to focus. Everything was blurry at first and she talked like she was in a trace. ”Just take it. Take it all back.” She mumbles as her head lays back on the hard sand. It takes her a minute or two longer to process what had just happened. The young mare jumps up which causes pain to rip through her body. She squeals out suddenly, startling her filly who had just gotten to stand up. The foal tripped as she jumped up, falling back to the earth’s floor.

Galexia’s watched for newborn for a second before her eyes sharply turned to Cain. ”You, I thought…I though…” She sighs. ”I thought it might be Kaiju who came to greet her daughter first and not you, the stallion I stole from.” She looks back to her daughter who goes back to trying to stand. ”Why are you so nice to me?” It was a question she has been dying to ask since their first conversation weeks ago. Her body felt so sore she was unable to stand like she wanted to. What kind of Queen was she? ”She is beautiful isn’t she?” Galexia smiles at her newborn as she found her footing. The filly looks back at them excitedly before taking her first wobbly step.

”Maybe you were right. Birth does not give you any special powers, but it does help. Being born into power gives some drive to keep the family name going and keep their family home. No place has felt like home to me more than the Shore has. I have had almost all happy memories there versus the other places I have lived. Honestly, Cain, I am hating it here.” She snorts with glaring eyes turning to look at him, the only stallion that seemed to show up when she needed someone. ”It may have just been my pregnancy, but the land gets too hot and there is hardly any food or water. It is so ugly compared to the Shore, but at the same time I have never felt so important. I like this feeling of being important, but all these responsibleness as too much. I don’t know how anyone can have a child and still be a Queen.” Once again she was having word vomit with Cain. Why did she feel the need to tell him so many delicate things? All this could give him any reason to take his home back.

His home back…

”Take it back,” she says flatly. Galexia struggles to get to her hooves, but she manages with a small trail of blood still running down her leg. Oh, she felt so sore! She turns to face Cain and fights to not look at the mess she made on the Desert floor where she was just lying. ”Take back the Desert and decide what you want to do with Kaiju Blue. Keep him in power or not it doesn’t matter. I must rest before I journey back to the Shore. That is unless you give me some reason to stay.” Galexia has debated abandoning the Desert for the last few days anyway. She may as well be honorable and give it back to its rightful owner, but she wasn’t going to leave if there was still some opportunity here. ”I think the position of lead mare would better fit for what I’m after. You don’t have one do you?” She boldly asks this with eyes fixated on his reaction.
