There was one simple fact that made this mare an easy target. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cullen could also dare to say she was inexperienced in how she fights, but she did try to get away. The black mare did not just allow him to do as he pleased, but he was able to overpower her easily. Cullen was a Lord, a Captain. The scars that mark his coat tell of the war he participated in and the many times he has graced the battlefield. It was these islands that hold all of his glory.

As soon as they made it onto the beach, the mare darts away from him. He chases her, but this time lazily with an amused smirk on his lips. There was no longer a sense or urgency in his steps as they were closer to his home. Even with his change in demeanor, he is successful in driving her home. He allows the mare to run ahead and try to escape. The plan was to have her use up all of her energy so once they were in the Lagoon he could do whatever he liked to her. They make it into the Lagoon without a hiccup as he notes the mare’s movements slowing down. A sly smirk spreads over his lips as he approaches her again. This time he does not charge her or try to bite her. Cullen just watches her with amusement in his eyes as she glares back at him.

”Demon, huh?” He chuckles as he continues to step closer, completely unafraid. ”Of all the things others have called me demon has not been one of them. What is your name mare and who is it I have stolen you from?” So begins the interrogation.
