They are not alone for long, but the Commons is hardly the place for leisurely conversation. Balor knows the rules. He knows that by not immediately staking his claim on the leggy paint mare, he had risked interruption. He is unthreatened by the brash buckskin stallion that joins them - perhaps insultingly so. Moreover, he has no interest in ushering a woman home who does not wish to go with him. If anything, Balor�s resistance to force his claim allows for Vanya to make that decision herself, without worry of whoever, or whatever else might try to take a bite.

He is pleased to have the little bit of time alone he does with the mare and her young filly - to learn their names before company arrives.

Whether intentionally for Balor�s benefit or not, Vanya greets the buckskin paint stallion by name. It is clear that they have met before, and though Balor finds the stallion�s comment concerning Vivienne to be quite rude, Vanya seems to take it all in stride.

She casts her eyes downward, the length of her inky black forelock obscuring her honey brown eyes. She explains - partially. It�s enough to bait the hook, and Balor is falling for it. He wants to know more - wants to feel as though he is saving her from some ghoulish rogue but taking her away from this place.

She is quick to leave him wanting - turning the subject of conversation back to Kamekaze, and then to Balor in turn.

�I have recently come to call the Prairie my own.� he admits after Kamekaze has had his chance to answer. �You�ll have to come see it sometime.� he winks playfully.
