Her own restless energy was her downfall so after some time pacing the shore lines of the Inlet, the painted mare took to the water and made the swim to the Crossing. Maybe she wouldn't find anything there or maybe she would. Only time would tell. All she knew was she was tired of waiting around on Tinuvel for something to happen. The herd was quiet and everyone seemed scattered. She hated it. Kvothe still hadn't returned after running away and she hadn't heard from Ironclad either on whether he'd found out any information on that stallion who raped her last Fall. She snorted as she swam through the water, anger welling up in her chest again at the thought of someone touching a mare like that. And then making her think it was her fault. What a dog. Kvothe was too kind for her own good and somehow thought the stallion was a nice guy. What mind games.

Young Lakota hadn't made her way back to the Inlet either after that talk in the Common didn't go as Medusa had planned. She never meant to seem like she was lecturing the young mare who was only a year younger than her. Really, she wanted to get to know her, relate to her somehow. Yet she'd only managed to run her off. She wanted to make up for it, but she couldn't find the young mare now. So all she could do was wait. And God, she hated waiting.

So instead, she was swimming to the Crossing to look for something else to do. As she walked up on the shore line and shook out her coat, the bay dun looked around with pricked ears and bright eyes. It didn't take long to see the pale figure only so far from the shore line herself. A pretty young thing. Medusa smiled and gave out a nicker before venturing closer. She stopped a few feet away and dipped her head in greeting. "Hello, you must be new to the islands. I'm Medusa of the Inlet. Are you looking for a home?"
