Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Menkhet
i'm glad i learned that the universe
runs on death - it's more
beautiful to know.

It did not take long for Elohim to make his presence known. It had been far too long, but the whelp writhing beneath her paw only drew a glint of annoyance until the male began to speak. It had even seemed to settle the pup's movements. Her gaze cast to him, Elohim, as she contemplated his words. “Perhaps.” In truth, she had no real indication of what prompted her to drag him from the depths, and the only reason he lived through retaliation was that he smelt so akin to Elohim that she was disinterested in his demise. Gazing back at the child as Elohim continued to speak she considered her thoughts to his question. In a swift motion, Menkhet nipped the boy's ear causing it to bleed and exciting a cry of pain. It would scar and be hardly noticeable, but the ones present would know of the mark at the base of Arius’ ear.

Her pink tongue delighted at the blood if only for a moment before nodding to Elohim. “Perhaps, though there’s always more to learn.” Menkhet chided before taking her paw off Arius and swatting him rather harshly in Elohim’s direction. Arius quickly taking that opportunity to flee her proximity trotted beside his father's paws. Menkhet watched intently before meeting Elohim’s gaze. “Mine.” It was a clear statement though perhaps neither would know what it meant. Elohim was certainly a smart wolf though she would be curious if he would work it out. Debating for the moment if it would prove worthy to let him deliberate the matter. “I will watch him. He will be welcome in Asteraia.” Shifting on her paws the dark pelted woman shook out her coat watching for a response.

Striding up to him (Elohim) she snapped her jaws towards his cheek and giggled blissfully. Her posture was more suited for a spar or spent than being stiff and agitated. “What secrets do you have for me? Perhaps you should hunt with me, O' Sea King mine.” Menkhet purred with a glint of humor and eager curiosity in her eyes. “Is he yours? Do you have more?” He wouldn’t discern this question but it played at her curiosity although even now she lacked any desire to focus too much on the child she did note that it pressed closer to the male before her, a mix of confusion and perhaps anger lingering in the eyes of the youth. Alas, the child was only afforded a fleeting glance her focus prioritized elsewhere especially with the potential thrill of the hunt.
