"The big change" in radio was in the 1980s, if I'm recalling correctly, and it had to do with OWNERSHIP of radio stations.
Prior to the change, one company could not own more than a limited number of stations. There were rules for local ownership, local broadcasting, other things that favored local ownership and broadcasting. THAT was when so much of what used to be local radio went to hell.
As for ME aging OUT of radio, Hannity is 59, Levin is 63, and Savage is 78 years old. Aging out of those sons of bitches is impossible.
All of the syndicated shit is radio personalities from another era, and they keep referencing politics and events from those by-gone days. They bore the hell out of me, because I've already heard all of that crap.
Do you like METV, with all of its reruns from black-and-white TV? If so, you'll love syndicated radio.
