For a moment, the black mare seemed overwhelmed by everything so Monster gave her all the time she needed before responding, simply shifting her own weight to combat her own impatience, since she was never known for it. Finally, the mare spoke, saying her name was N.asa and that she used to call the Harbor home. The way she spoke of it, made it sound like she was the leader there, because why else couldn't she still call it home just because someone else did? Monster dippd her head in acknowledgement. "Then it sounds like you have a decision to make. You could either reclaim your home or make your home somewhere else." She could see the mare was upset about losing her home and her heart went out to her. She couldn't imagine having to find somewhere else after being in Paradise for so long. The mare offered a greeting to the colt but he scowled back at her, a fire in his green eyes as he stomped his little hoof and snorted. Monster frowned and shook her head. "I'm sorry. I'm trying to get the rude out of him, but it's slow coming." She offered apologetically with a glowering look in the colt's direction. He seemed to shrug it off though and turned his flanks to both mares, looking at something interesting off to the side. When the bleat of a distressed foal reached their ears, Monster snapped her head around, nostrils flaring to the new taste of blood in the air. Something was wrong. N.asa asked if she heard and she nodded her head, her lips tight with worry as she followed on the other mare's heels toward the sounds. Alpha was close on her heels, nipping at her back leg in retaliation for walking off without him but Monster merely snorted and raised a leg in warning before she focused once more on the scene before them. The mare called out when she got there, seeing the body on the ground. Monster gasped, recognizing the mare from their single brief encounter but she never got the mare's name. Himena. N.asa seemed to know her more, a single tear sliding down her cheek as she pressed her muzzle to the mare. Monster frowned in sympathy before turning her attention on the lone filly. N.asa called to her and Monster stood by, letting them get acquainted. "Are you able to nurse her as well?" If N.asa wanted to raise her, that would be a done deal. Otherwise, Monster knew she would need to find a permanent solution for the filly. She would take her on herself if needed, though Alpha wouldn't be happy about it. He seemed to want all her attention all the time. Even now, he glared at the filly like she was rude for daring to draw their attention. Moving away from his mother, he reahced out his nose, sniffing at the blood before drawing his head back in distaste. He moved back toward the mares then, looking at N.asa's daughter in curiosity, his ears pricked as he waited to see how she would respond.
