She went on, talking of love and how someone strives to be perfect. His eyes softened as she said she wouldn't want her mother to see her mistakes, her flaws. But then he smiled. His gaze dropped to the ground again before finding hers again. "Do you really think her heart won't shatter when I come back empty handed?
