The days fell by the wayside and seasons seemed to morph into one that felt never ending. He had found himself more often than not just on the cusp of Asteraia. As the suns rays began to dance on the horizon the male shut his eyes tighter and lay back on his side in the denser grass. There was no reason to over exert himself and so an ear twitched idly at the sound of bugs, birds, and the bubbling river. He was just on the cusp of sleep before a thud against his ribs caused him to stand quickly and cough.

A deep snarl escaped his maw before he heard the splash and turned his head to catch a small form tail and flank all that he could truly see. He could only offer a perplexed look and no true common sense to offer assistance considering mostly that was out of the question. He settled on his haunches peering in half confusion and half displeasure as the woman cleared her eyes. He supposed at least he was fortunate enough not to get an unplanned soak all things considered.

When the earthen woman spoke he took a moment or two to truly gather what she was saying before he rolled his shoulders and stood. "Perhaps you should keep your eyes peeled. It's how you say...helpful..." He grumbled slightly but sighed and an ear folded back. "I am Apophis, I suppose it is nice to meet you Auri...though I prefer to be woken up by food. As for my well being I'm not dead and no offense but I don't think you could hurt me if you tried." He turned to walk further from Asteraia, following along the river.

Casting an icy-blue gaze back he called to the slender woman. "You coming?" He wasn't exactly the best gentleman, but he would at least find her something to eat. He supposed that would be a nice thing other wolves appreciated. Contemplating the muddy mess he doubled back and moved to grab her scruff in order to drag her into the river. When he manged to get her into the water he tossed his left foreleg over her back in order to keep her from willing free and used is right paw in an attempt to scrub the muck off of her face. "Now tell me what exactly you were doing and after you are clean I will find you food or something." He wasn't one to be dirty and he certainly wasn't going to permit that from company. Besides, she was small enough to move so why not get her cleaned up himself?
