The break on the mainland was exactly what she needed and Monster was reluctant to get back into the water at the end of it, but she was ready to be back home. It was odd to think sometimes that Paradise had become so dear to her. She'd always considered herself a gypsy drifter. Nothing could hold her down, whether it be a stallion or a single place, yet she'd laid down roots on Atlantis that ran deep enough to anchor the island to its very spot in the ocean. A chuckle left her lips at the thought even as the painted mare dove into the waves and made the swim back. As the wild curves of Atlantis appeared before her, she smiled to herself as the warm feeling of safety filled her chest. Yes, it was still good to be home. From the moment her hooves found the wet sand of the shore line though, a call rang out and her ears pricked in familiarity. Rougaru. Nostrils flared as she tossed her head and reared up, crying out in answer before she thundered off across the territory. Her wet mane and tail billowed out behind her as she raced further inland, only slowing as the silhouette of her chocolate king came into view. Blue and green eyes narrowed into slivers as she took him in, inspecting his frame for signs of injury or other damage. Why the urgent call? She had come ready for battle but now it looked like she might be in for disappointment. Snorting as she stomped a hoof on the ground, the mare gnashed her teeth and slowed to a stop before him. "You rang?" Another smaller set of hooves was right on the mare's heels and a flashy red colt tore out of the jungle not far behind. Slamming on brakes, the weanling slid to a stop by his mother and gave his proud head a toss as he straightened up and let his gaze dart around. Where was everyone? A harsh snort left his nostrils as he pawed the ground with impatience and looked between his parents. He definitely wasn't staying long if it was just going to be them two.
