The swim back to Atlantis from Salem seemed faster this time around, though maybe that was just because Cain felt lighter with relief to see things finally coming together. The Desert was getting a Second again and he didn't know the relief that brought to him until he saw it set in stone. He loved protecting his herd, but it was weighing heavier on him as he grew older and he liked the idea of having someone else around to confide in, someone else to help watch his borders cause he couldn't be everywhere at once, no matter how much he tried. He had to wonder which direction Rougaru would take when he made the offer, but he was glad his herd could understand what he was trying to do. At least Cerosi didn't think he was just trying to auction off their daughter like a slab of meat. No, it was much deeper than that and he would never force the decision on anyone. He was also proud of his son Ahimsa for stepping forward as well. Now, the ball was going to be in the Paradise stallion's court and hopefully soon, Cain would be returning home with Chelle at his side. Or at least knowing her freedom was secure, cause in the end, that's all he wanted for her. As he shuffled up on the shores of Paradise, Cain shook out his coat and threw up his head, giving a call for Rougaru once more. He knew the stallion probably wouldn't make him wait long so he held his ground and watched the tree line expectantly for the chocolate stallion's approach.
