"Forgive me," she murmurs. "I must step away for a bit, but I trust you'd wish to get to know your daughter while I am gone. I trust she will be safe with you?" She looks at him expectantly. She already knows the Wolf King wouldn't let anything befall his blood. She could feel the constriction of her heart. She'd never left Kaari alone. But she needed to do something. Something she was not willing to admit to Rougaru. She waits for his nod, her face betraying a pang of guilt but also expressing she was not open to revealing her intentions. She nudges Kaari gently and wordlessly slips away.

Her mother is gone before she can even object to her absence. She wordlessly watches as she disappears and she turns her dished face back to her father. Her eyes land on his saucer hooves as she finds his gaze penetrating. He certainly was large. "Well I never got to see the Harbor," she swiftly admits. She shrugs her shoulders and looks at him meekly. "Mom likes to wander...a lot. I don't think she's capable of staying anywhere long." She wasn't sure if it was her place to admit that, but she also knew it to be true. "We spent some time in Salem but it was short-lived. She had mentioned she had allies in the Desert. I'm sure your stories are much more embellished than mine." She teases. There was nothing to admit. Her mother kept her running since her birth. She often wondered if it had been the trauma of her arrival. But she'd never asked. "What about you dad...has Paradise always been your home?" She looks around him at the large jungle. It was beautiful, albeit stifling hot. She supposed he'd been here for a long time. Something nagged in the back of her mind. She needed to know more about him.
