PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

legends never die bagheera continued

Bane had always thought of the Peak as a respite for the mares that the political climate, time, or men had been unkind to. It makes sense, to her, at least. Roisin’s reactions to her and Oswin’s conversation had brought Bane to think more critically about the way that they used to do things. With social change came policy change, after all. Part of being a reasonable member of society was change in viewpoint, when new information came to light.

You couldn’t stop change. All Bane wanted to do was shape that change to something positive. She would try to keep the skeletons in her closet from falling out and making that more difficult. Beside Bagheera, the champagne mare moves easily. Their steps fall into time, and she’s thankful for the contemplative quiet. If she had known of the black mare’s concerns, Bane would have worked to put them at rest. She would see in time.

The Peak came closer, stretching further into the sky. Bagheera’s comment brought a soft smile to her face-- the vote was quite alluring, after all. Bane thought about her own hopeful bid at a position among their leadership. “It’s done well for us, over the years.” There was a brief, far away look in Bane’s eye, but she pushed it away quickly. Now wasn’t the time. “This is it, the Peak.” The champagne mare thinks that it’s quite grand, really.

“Do you know which of our ranks you’d like to join?” It was a casual question, but Bane is also a bit awkward. She’s not used to having company. Times, as always, were changing.
