Re(4): Another new word for Jim

It's not matter of you policing me for calling YOU out.

Since the past is always here the 7 active viewers can easily see that under variious appropriate handles, I come in here to entertain, do bits, make a political comment or repost a media story, and don't mention you at all.

Instead, you search every day for my posts and you JUMP ME like the schoolyard bully you are. And generally I give you a hard time, you respond to every one of my posts to you, and then when I've made my point quit bothering, and sure enough, you make the last 'oh byron' post to end the thread.

And on occasion you misread soemone els'es comments as mine and start to bully THAT person, thinking it's me.

So are you lying on purpose about your motives or just a sicko? I was amused at the repost I said from the other boards admin who trashed people who show up being a gadfly for attention at remotes. Coincidentally, someone I dont know said the same about you.

Guess that went over your head?

Noticed no one has engaged you all these years in here? That should tell you that your musings fall on deaf ears.

Do understand, Jimbo, I'm not really dressing YOU down, so much as I'm dressing you down to them, right in front of you.

Are you too nuts to realize that and grow up? There was a guy over on the TV board who was getting stalked too, same as you do. He'd say something about TV, he always stayed on topic, and his gadfly mentioned his name as if the game in here is for gadflies to out people's names.

I never play that, I'm more interested in content, not the posters. But that's the only game you play. Its occurred to me that most people dont' come in here because they don't wanna get engaged by YOU Jim. If not that, then its that most jocks have left town because this market has automated.

There are stations around that have one live morning man and they record the weather for the rest of the day, with their name on air alone, around the clock. Sadly THAT's what's happened to a lot of radio.

This is why I think radio's turned into a music box, sans radio personalities nd entertainment. I predicted a lot of that ten years ago when I suggested that folks need to use radio to support theimselves while they gain marketable skills that pay survivable wages.

You still trash me for that but I stand by what I said, and its true more so. Mostly I was talking about TV, predicting that would happen as soon as internet got fast enough to carry video.

Sure as hell, it HAS, streaming is eating cable's lunch and affil TV too. The Don Quixote jocks still in the business lament aobut how important 'live and local' is, but that's only because they're the last live and local jocks on the air.

And on the TV side, the locally produced midday guest variety shows in this market are largely unsuccesful. Live and local isn't that good, in part because the guest base everywhere but the coasts aren't interesting enough to keep an audience. They work in NY, Chicago, and LA and maybe Miami and Houston but nowhere else because that's where the movie and TV talent live. Well the music stars do go to Nashville and Vegas, I stand corrected.

What's interesting in Kansas City? We had Marilyn Maye, and, uh...nobody else. I expect the 7 active users in here never even heard of her. And you, from Goddard sure woudlnt' have.

Same true in Wichita... they dont have much theater or expertise there except at WSU which was a small town university. As you know, I did TV for quite a while in Wichita, and the only time we got real talent to interview for feature stories was when they flew into town to have their Learjets overhauled.

Reagan came in exactly once that I know of. I don't remember Nixon blowing through, but I was overseas part of that. I saw Clinton once here and if KC didn't host a national convention or two, none of them would have stayed overnight.

Well hell, Got go water my seedlings. The bare spots are gone now.
