You and I have faced off in practice before with no cause to defend. If you are asking your warriors to rise up and accept the challenge of protecting the weak and those held in captivity, do we not also look within the Lagoon itself? I am aware of at least one mare currently held prisoner against her will. How do these men - our supposed partners now - claim one man a tyrant when comrades within their ranks are committing the same practices? Correct my assumptions if they are wrong, but my current response to your imploring message to rise is as follows:

I have fought battles that were not mine. My skin and my mind suffer the consequences of wars waged on unjust claims in the pursuit of what one group deems morally correct. I will not fight for a cause that turns a blind eye to the treachery of their friends while battling the same injustice found within a perceived foe. I will fight for all or I will fight for none. With all due respect to your new appointment, this is my stance - if I do not fit within your ranks, let me leave before my own moral compass is muddled.

Yet if you choose to meet all injustices with the same ferocity - you will find no warrior more ferocious than I.
