Me, I was just a CHAIRBORNE Ranger working for STRATCOM. I do have a tiny US Armyy sticker on the back of my truck but I have never flaunted it except to get a Vets discount at Lowe's. My USAF dad and Silver Starred Uncle taught me it was just a duty, and not to be bragged about anymore than one should brag about one's religious piety. Tho there are a lot of guys whose military service was the coolest thing they ever did in life. And others who came back to the world in box in the back of my dad's MATS transport. He flew out of RGAFB when I was a kid.
