Re(1): 3 listeners in here this morning

Want to know why so few people listen to the radio? Check this:

I have purchased a few AM/FM clock-radios for home use in recent years. IF those radios had been simple to set up, I’d be using them, today. IF those radios had had a few buttons to set the time and a few more for station pre-sets, like they used to, I’d be listening to my favorite AM and FM stations, every day.

Instead, you’ve got to be a computer programmer to set up the most-basic functions on clock-radios that are sold in Wally World and Best, now. I’m average intellect, and I CAN go through the tedious instructions to set things up, but WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE SO TIME-CONSUMING AND SO DAMNED CONFUSING???

Of the last 4 clock/radios I have purchased, I figured out how to set up ONE of them. That’s the one I use for music, but its clock is flashing 12:00-12:00-12:00, 24 /7. I’ve got other clocks; no need to go through all the gyrations to set up the clock on that radio.

If my electricity goes out for any reason – like the ice-storm that is forecast for today/tonight - my clock-radio is going to go off, and I’ll have to go through ALL of that torturous set-up AGAIN before I can use it!!! And, if I lose the instructions, forget it. Throw the damned thing away.

As for the other three clock-radios, I took one back to Wally World for a refund, and the other two are in boxes, in a closet somewhere.
