I thought it was funny because of the audacity of BZ over the years pretending to be protecting KC from severe weather
There's only 2 men who do that in this market and both work at 9--one in front of the chromaboard and the other flying a helicopter.
it will Always be funny because they actually did it over and over and if there was a storm on the weekends, BZ's coverage was always AWOL--because they dont' have enough staff to pull off that hoax.
I don't so much mind commercials deceiving and lying, but there's something totally unseamly about a news organization doing it.

I can't even imagine how Chris Wallace or KC's own Harris Faulker are willing to dishonor their profession by working for a propaganda outfit in front of a sign that screams, "America's Newsroom!

I might not have been so amused as many in KC radio who never worked anywhere else except I DID work both IN and outside this market! There is no comparison! That's why I will always laugh about BZ's field reporter theatrics!
Did it ever occur to anyone here that KC radio was surrounded by great radio news, just not here KMOX to the East, KOA to the West, KFAB & WOW to the north, and several in Wichita to the South--which was amazing for a market that small. here, we had Charlie Gray who was more of an icon even than Noel and Walt. I presume KCMO had somebody well known but I never listened to them so I can't say. Everybody else here was a rip n reader, as was I but only once, for I got out of here as fast as I could.
