What do you suppose the authors of the Old Testament who explained creation had written if we could have time traveled them up here, and given a peek through the Hubble Telescope and seen the thousands or millions of inhabitable planets. In the early days, they thought Heaven was right above the clouds they saw.
The trouble with Christians is that the Catholics bound the Hebrew Text first in their Bible...written maybe 2500 years ago at the latest.
I'm fairly confident your invisible friend is a figment of folklore. Any intelligent creator would surely be busy on the other side of the galaxie which would explain why we haven't seen hide nor hair of it for 2,000 years.
All but the Bible thumpers who don't get out much, have deemphasized the lore about creation and moved to the New testament and Jesus' preachings of how we should get along with each other and what's really important. Most people no longer think like children of their much smarter invisible friend as their loving parent. We are, in fact, on our own and we've learned we reap the consequences of decisions we make.
Once we do that, our lot in life is less up to chance and more to good decisionmaking. Then we learn to make better decisions, and when things go wrong, we don't blame god because we didn't feed his ego with praise everyday!
For most humans, their concept of god changed once the literate preachers taught US to be literate too. We read it for ourselves and with knowledge we have discovered they aren't any smarter than we are. So we dont ask them questions not in the Bible because their answers must come from it. We've learned they don't have any special insight. Just sayin. Replies:
