It’s sad that we have lost our Kansas City newspaper. While many of you might say that we “lost“ our city newspaper many years ago when the Editorial pages went so far to the left, I can tell you, it was always left-leaning. The Star may have gone FURTHER left at some point, but almost every newspaper in this nation has always been a mouthpiece for liberals.
As for me, I read the Metropolitan Section and the Business Section of the Kansas City Star daily, for most of fifty years. Those two sections were mostly factual, detail-oriented LOCAL news sources, NOT just the headlines-only reporting that TV news gives you or the opinionated bullshit that most other sources give you.
Hopefully, a daily, just-the-facts news source will arrive again someday, but - - Don’t hold your breath, waiting.
