Top Gun's Greatest Hits

Most of you havent worked retail but its a fact that when Alexa or most piped in music services play, their playlists are short enough that employees remember not only the lyrics to the songs but they anticipate the order they're played in.

Ask Alexa sometime to play "Hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s, Beatles, or any genre. They'll play abt 20 songs, every time.

You'll notice that if you go the dentist's office for a half dozen visits or more. Same is true for all the Targets, Walmarts, and restaurant chains. Not only are their playlists short, but the ones they chose are all stereotypical image songs. You can't find an 80s greatest hits list without a couple movie tracks and of course, Queen. In the 70s, they always played Copa but never any of the chick songs the girls loved so much like Mandy or I Write the Songs. I attribute THAT to the uptempo roadhouse tunes men are supposed to like and never chick stuff since homophobia runs especially deep in radio people. That always surprises me since women listen to radio in offices far more than men.

But there isn't a girl in America that can't lipsinc Shelley Fabares' Johnny Angel fm about 62. And younger ones secretly loving "Do it to Me one More Time" by Tinnelle and olders loving Reddys "I am Woman." and Nancy Sinatra's "Boots are made for Walkin."

Radio wont play any of those; not sure why since women own the car radios.

Remember when they played the Sixties, ya always got the best of the Beatles, and of course CCR?
