Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

First Breath After A Coma

I would honestly love you now,
But I would lovingly let you down.

His skin felt prickly, the heat raging from within bubbling to the surface. Every step he took farther into this wretched place only fueled this fire.

So when the painted grey stud emerged, Jabari didn't hold back. He barely heard his useless words before the stallion lashed out, lunging low, with his head in-line with his knees, while his front hooves struck out, fist the right and then the left, and his jaws snapped quickly for any flesh along his side. He snorted loudly before retreating, backing away several steps as he waited for retaliation. "Fuck off." He spat with a side-swiping angry red tail.

His blue-eyed gaze studied him for a moment longer before trudging off, hoping to disappear into the brush and mud in the distance alone, but then he spoke.

Işık had tailed him casually, giving him ample lead on their silent trip from Atlantis to the Crossing Isle. They rose from the surf one right after another, but Jabari hadn't bothered to give him one look, just shaking his coat of excess seawater and moving on. But now, it seemed, Işık had something to say.

One chestnut ear lobe flicked back to catch his words from behind, as he addressed the other bloke. He snorted again at his cheap insults. What an idiot, Jabari thought. Fighting blindly for a stallion he knew nothing about. What kind of 'strategy' was that? But the Lagoon cronies had hardly been known for cunning and intelligence. Why Shamwari ever spoke of this place with some semblance of revere, Jabari still never understood. His experiences, the first time with Cullen and now with the sooty cocky stallion, left much to be desired.

Jabari slows his pace to a halt, turning swiftly on his haunches so both stallions were within view, but he kept a heft distance now. Işık addresses him and he bars two rows of yellowed teeth at him. He paws feverishly at the soft, wet earth underneath him, warning him, taunting him. One ear shot forward as he suggested the moved to a place to eat, but Jabari didn't budge. Instead his jaws clenched and he planted his feet deeper into the muck.
