Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

With Vadim gone; off to roll in whatever was left of a mud puddle somewhere, Tyr was left alone. The stallion had tucked himself beneath a thick tree. Making sure that it provided enough shade to cover the majority of his pale body that was nearly slicked with sweat. The humidity made the air feel like soup, and there didn’t seem to be a breath of wind or wisp of cloud to break it. The sound of someone approaching barely caused the heated General to flick an ear in their direction, but when Rehoboam spoke, Tyr pried open his eyes to look at the painted Marauder.

Atlantis?

For a moment Tyr was quiet, his mind catching up with what Rehoboam had said. The stallion briefly pictured the wonderful breeze on the beach, picking at the waving grasses on the edges of the jungle. His body cooled from the swim to reach the island. Every part of Tyr ached to make the image come true, but the stallion gave a small shake of his head. “No” Tyr declined, but not without reason. “With Fall nearing, and two strange stallions; Lagoon stallions at that. We’ll be driven off immediately.”

“You should take Vadim instead.” Tyr suggested. “Showing that a colt was raised here and has such manners will make for a good example.” At least, Tyr hoped that Vadim would be on his best behavior. That his excitement and growing hormones wouldn’t cause him to get into trouble. With how the boy had been staring after Rehoboam (yes, the watchful father had noticed), Tyr doubted Vadim would put one hoof out of place so that the Marauder would be willing to take him again.
