Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

sing an ode to the sun

Relaxed voices drift by on a gentle breeze: the high, curious inquiries of a child and his father's soft response. Jin can't help but smile as he turns to face the strangers. The tall stallion's casual posture is such a subtle, massive change from the suspicion and hostility he's faced before. Seeing it, Jin feels so light he could take to the skies and fly right now.

His expression is as sunny as the sky beyond the mangrove forests shading this area of the Lagoon as he tilts his head at the duo and cocks a hoof to show an equally relaxed attitude. "Hey there. My name is Jin," and he doesn't bother tacking on his family name, even though the monosyllabic name sounds terribly strange without it. He's promised his parents and brother that they can definitely, 100% safely disinherit him, and he supposes this is just part of it.

"You must be part of the bachelor herd here, right? I thought I'd join too." Jin flicks his tail, stepping closer to exchange breaths with the sooty stallion. "Who're you?"
