As the beast expected, he is not left to laze about in the creek for long. No sooner than he began to feel the first signs of drowsiness creeping over his sun warmed figure, did the crack of brittle leaves and snapping twigs sound from the depths of the underbrush ahead. Planting a mask of irritation upon his darkened features, Annubis lifts his head from the creekbed. That didn’t take very long. ’Well now sunshine…’ the familiar tone brings a malicious grin to his lips as grudgingly the sterling stallion rises to his feet just as Psychedelic moves into view. ’I didn’t think you would miss me this much just to come all the way over here to see lil ole me.’ A derisive snort escapes his lips at the last part as Annubis takes a step onto the shore. ”Well, you got the old part right.” he smirks, giving his silver coat a shake to rid the excess water from his skin. Raven tipped ears perk forward as once more golden eyes settle on the emerald gaze of the dunalino stallion. ”Here I was thinking you had crawled off into a hole somewhere and died….” he purrs, switching his tail lightly in mild humor as he tilts his head towards the stallion, ”I would say it’s good to see you still hanging in there but who are we kidding.” he quips.

Regardless of how annoyed he might appear, Annubis was glad to see that Psycho still roamed the islands. The quickness with which he had abandoned the Shores had been confusing to say the least and if he were completely honest with himself, he had been hurt. Here he had been thinking that their sarcastic bantering back and forth had been some form of brotherly bonding. Well, maybe not brotherly bonding because in all honestly he hated all of his siblings.

’Kiss and make friends boys.’ the stranger’s words draw his golden gaze as Annubis turns to face the newest member of their little party. ”Kiss? Him?” he asks, thrusting his muzzle in Psycho’s direction before turning back to the chocolate brown stallion. Raven tipped ears flex, ”You first. He might give me cooties or fleas or some kinda parasitic disease that affects the cripple and half dead.” he barks with a cocky tilt of his head before turning back to the Dunalino paint with a cheshire grin. ”What are you doing here anyway Psycho? Looking for a nice patch of mud to bury yourself in?”
