PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

turn men into monsters

Vadim felt himself start to tremble; his body quivering in a way it never had before. Was this shock? Cold? Exhaustion? The youth didn’t know. What he did know, was that he needed a way to fix this. To fix everything. To undo whatever madness had been started in the Lagoon. Not only would it affect his home, but this change was going to affect the entire islands. Whatever tiny progress (if any) that had been made in the better good, was going to be for naught.

When Vadim finally caught sight of a mare approaching, he did not recognize her face, but he fully knew her scent. It had lingered in the Lagoon several times, on his father, and on his brother. He tried to straighten himself up, to look more like a man than a boy, but somehow, he was caught in between. Thankfully, Oswin offered him bluntness instead of coddling. Vadim had never really known that softness before, and it certainly wouldn’t have done him any good now. Instead, the painted mare’s voice gave solidity beneath his hooves, as if he were no longer going to drown.

“The Lagoon…. Father… He…..” It all wanted to come tumbling out at once, his words pushing together, and Vadim had to stop and gave a shake of his head as he tried to clear it. Vadim felt stupid for acting like a child; how was he to ever stand like a stallion if he gave like this under the pressure of change? “The Lagoon elected a new Boss. I don’t think he is good.” Vadim finally said, his words finally making some semblance of sense. “Father….. He… I’ve never seen him act in such a way. I think he's lost his mind. I’m pretty sure he was trying to kill him!” It was clear that seeing Tyr in such a way, with such violence, had clearly unsettled his son deeply. “I don’t know what to do. Will you please help us? Help him? Vadim pleaded. Not knowing anyone else he could trust with such a big askance.
